Home for Dinner evolved from a business called Cooking For you. A business owned and operated by Rosemarie Brownfield as a mobile personal chef business from 2003 to 2006.  CFY included catering for a variety of functions, in particular appetizers, and has grew to include providing meals and planning for quilting and other retreats.  Running the business out of her home, Rose scheduled appointments, cooked and packaged meals in the customers's home and placed them in the freezer for the customer to enjoy for the month ahead.  An average of 8 different items are prepared a day, with 8-12 servings of each item.

Rosemarie has been cooking since the age of 12 and has always had a love and passion for preparing delicious food.  She cooks from scratch and enjoys trying new recipes, having written a successful recipe column and feature columns in 2 local newspapers over the course of 13 years.  She has also been in charge of dinners put on by the local Kinette Club, Church youth events and worked at Camp Hurlburt kids camp in the summer of 2005.  She has taken a variety of cooking courses and has the new updated Food Safe course.

Paul has also had a passion for food and started cooking when quite young.  He worked at Panago Pizza as a cook/supervisor for 5 years and took food courses while in high school.  Paul has taken the Business Management Program at OUC in Vernon.

With Home for Dinner having opened its doors in September 2006, Rosemarie and Paul have had a tremendous response from the community and have recently been nominated for Small Business of the Year for Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce 2008 Business Excellence Awards.
